Called same day and tried to make an appointment but didn’t know if I could make it, so I asked if I could walk in just before closing for a last appointment. They said yes! So I was able to make it and came just a little around a hour before closing. They took me in, fast service. A guy was available and said he could do my hair but I asked kindly for a women stylist and they paired me with a women. I asked for a little trim. I have super fine hair but a lot of it. It’s also got like 3 different curl patterns going on and multiple cowlicks. I’ve had professionals just walk away. The best haircuts I’ve ever had were at this place. The guy who runs this school is super detail oriented and the students seem to really learn their stuff.
I travel a lot and find going to the local hair academy for haircuts an interesting & enjoyable experience. I got an excellent haircut today from Jess and Roy. I would certainly return to HIHD.
The experience itself was ok. I am a black girl with thick hair I went in for a wash and dry. I’ve been to other hair schools where the students did not know how to blow dry my hair but the instructor always stayed close to show them what to do. Jade (another student) had to assist the person who did my hair. Before she walked over the young lady was just lost and confused leaving my hair tangled.
