Living in this townhome has been a great experience. The layout is spacious and functional, with plenty of room for both everyday living and entertaining. I rented an apartment here for two years. This place is LIVELY. There is a great sense of community and a shared love of space. I had multiple vehicles, I had to start my loud car in the morning, I had two dogs that wanted to say hi to everyone. Nobody had a problem. The building managers are the sweetest ladies and all maintenance was done either THE DAY OF or the very next day no questions asked. Maintenance staff are great. Minus points for creaky floors and for a terrible resident portal and automated emails. Monthly emails tell you rent is overdue even when you have paid. When I moved out I got a final email telling me I unfortunately had an unpaid balance due. That balance was $0.00. Nice people, but terrible automation for communication with residents. Also pretty sure they use an AI customer service agent that sends texts that make no sense.
This place is 100 yrs old. It stinks of mold and not worth the money… loosing your deposit is ridiculous. All these fees that was charged was unbelievable. So dated and poor maintenance. They have the nerve to charge my family member for items that was like that when they moved in…when your there for a yr its called wear and tear… Do not recommend Haven at all…All about money!!!
It is unfortunate that the leasing agency that owns this property continues to increase the rent like every other management company within VA beach making it unaffordable for large families who are not military to afford these rental prices. The excuse for this is that they follow the current market rates but I feel it’s more of a greed aspect.
