Well worth the trip from Tennessee

My family of 7 came to dine at 2pm on a Saturday and we were given a hard time—which I understand, we have 5 kids and that can get difficult to wait on. the hostess looked very unhappy with the size of our group. there was a big table right in the entry way available. I let the hostess know that the table was available but it took 4 hostesses to look around the rest of the restaurant to tell us that it will be a 30 minute wait. I'm especially concerned that the hostess staff were unable to impress you more favorably. I understand how difficult it can be trying to dine out with a large group of kids. We were extraordinarily busy yesterday above our norms and staffing was challenged. I will look into the specifics of your situation and use your perspective to coach the staff involved.
The hotel I am staying at suggested Harvest Moon for some good southern food and this place did not disappoint. I had the fried catfish and cornbread and it was amazing. If I come back to Rome I will be stopping here again.
