In 1964, when Harold Hartzler made the decision to stop using chemical pesticides and herbicides on his farm, it was not a marketing decision. He did it because he had witnessed the effect of chemical run-off on a neighboring farm after a storm. It was then that Harold decided to farm only "as Nature Intended". They have the BEST ice cream and frozen yogurt I’ve ever had!!!!!! The staff are very friendly and polite. I highly recommend going there!!!!!
Drinking milk dispensed from a glass jug is so much more delicious than from the plastic jugs. Plus the glass is reused. The plastic ends up in the landfill.
We started buying Hartzlers milk a few years ago. The half gallon is a little pricey and there is a bottle deposit (that you do get back when you return the bottle to the store) but you can most certainly tell the difference between what’s bought at a local grocery store and this. Can’t wait to try their butter!!
I bought my first 1/2 gal today. And I love it. And glad that it's local
