Let me start off by saying I do like my neurosurgeon. What I don’t like is the receptionists being impatient. This has been The fourth time with secretaries being abrupt when answering my questions. I know that many of them are trying to do their best when it comes to an influx of patients. But when I am calling my doctor to get information on something that is very important to my health, I’d like to be answered with more patience and politeness.
I saw a neurosurgeon at Hartford Hospital, I will not name the doctor because I liked the surgeon, however, Matt, who is a medical assistant and Jay, who is a receptionist, were very rude and did nothing to help me get my MRI referrals and insurance authorizations to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. I saw the surgeon and he let me know that I needed surgery but they needed more MRIs first. I asked if I could get them done in Torrington since that’s where I live and I’m disabled so I don’t drive.
