One of THE most judgemental mental health clinicians ive ever come across, very opinionated. In my experience psychiatrists should be more Switzerland than soviet union. Did not want to listen to my concerns about trying medication new to the market. Insisted on antipsychotics whilst providing no information on a possible diagnosis that may lead her to come to the conclusion i needed those. Pushed very hard to get me off zoom in under10 minutes. Mary is amazing. She’s straightforward, doesn’t have time for nonsense, and can sometimes be a bit tough. However, it’s to help us be successful and to get out of our own way. I’ve dealt with a lot of psychiatrists that couldn’t care if you were even breathing or having a panic attack. Mary wants what is best for us and expects us to work on ourselves too, and that’s what we need in order to be accountable to ourselves. Also, her staff is wonderful.
