WE think it's great and travel quite a distance to go there It's unfortunate the other person felt the need to post twice and that they had a bad experience. My husband and I live near Orlando and quite frequently will drive all the way to Winter Haven to GO to Harry's. NOT overpriced for excellent quality seafood at all (this isn't frozen junk this is GOOD food). I've never had a bad experience with a waitress/waiter there at all. bad choice harrys old place is not a place i would go back to. the food was very over price the wait was horrendous we waited 3 hrs for a table and then did not have good service and the price was very over priced for the amount of food that we got we went away as hungry as we were when we went in
Go to Publix Instead V-E-R-Y Disappointing :( we wanted to love it, we live so close....but I can honestly say, "save your money!" I can think of about 10 other things I'd rather spend $60 bucks on! Great service. Food not worth the money.
Good food but... I'm a local and have dined there many times. I don't remember ever having a bad meal. But forget about going when the snow birds are here. They don't take reservations and I've had the owner actually smile as if he were enjoying it while telling me it would be an hour wait! A waitress that has been there for quite a while has a rude demeanor. Very quick and sarcastic. It's good food if you don't mind dealing with the issues.
worst restaurant Harry's Old Place is an extrememly overrated restaurant. Not only do you wait for an extended length of time, but the service is absolutely treacherous. I cannot tell you how long we were there at that restaurant, only to receive little acknowledgement from the very disrespectful waitresses, who certainly need to learn people skills. I never received a refill--not once!!! And the food was horrendously overppriced--we could not belive it! I reccomend this restaurant to savages, not people.
Michael I love this place!!! The ambiance is rustic tropical seaside, and the food is excellent. I see the seafood truck bringing fresh fish in from the Coasts on my way to work in the morning, and an excellent chef prepares it just so. The service is very friendly and good, but be aware this is a popular place with very good food. The wait is long -imagine throngs of people and a full parking lot - and the staff is hustling.
