Harry’s is the finest dining in Manhattan in a Historic Old Hotel. The menu is inspirational and the service impeccable.
In 3 years, my husband and I have only had the chance to go on 2 dates. It had been a while since we were able to sneak away. Given the opportunity, we wanted it to be really special at Harry's. We were greeted immediately by the hostess Sam. She was pleasant and inviting. We ordered a fantastic bottle of wine (Dolcetto Di Diano D'alba Sorì Christina). I’m sorry but I was a bit disappointed. We went for my birthday, our first visit. Our waitress was inattentive. Let’s just say the $500 dinner was very disappointing. The rolls were great but my entree was not good flavor and my husband said his was nothing to write home about either. I don’t see us going there again. Wasted a very special night and a lot of money.
Our server was ok. Did not check on us once. I had the seared scallop it was cold in the middle my main course looked good but lacked flavor. I had the duck it was rare wish I knew that. I am ok with rare cooked beef but duck, I will not order that again if I go back. When I told our server she simply said sorry to hear that. On the other hand the blue cheese dressing was great.
I would give them a 5 star if I wouldn't have seen foie Gras on the menu! Torturing ducks to fatten up their liver is something I am dead set against!!!!
Fine dining and gourmet food at its excellence. We love the ambiance of Harry’s too. It’s our favorite place to celebrate our life and milestones.
