CROOKS… charged us $60 for lawn maintence after move out even though they did not check our lawn for 4 days after we moved out. We moved out in the rainiest June ever. My husband mowed the very last day of our lease. Took our trees and fence down without any warning that the work was going to be done. For the trees- we had workers at our door at 6am on a weekend telling us to move our cars so they could take our trees. For the fence- we looked out the backyard one day to no longer have a fence. Not impressed. We moved into a dingy home and they made promises when we signed the lease about cleaning and repairs they didn’t keep (lots of cob webs, dirty windows, broken/shredded window screens). Their online rent payment was buggy and then they wait until exactly 60 days (as allowed by AR law) to return a rental security deposit when there was no damage and then charged us a cleaning fee when we left the home in a much cleaner state than when we moved in. Shame on you Harris McHaney.
I would STRONGLY discourage anyone in NWA from renting through Harris McHaney. The last month has been nothing but pure hell and they have been useless at every singe stage. We are nearly a month gone since our hot water heater started flooding the front of the house. Remediation for mold was handled quickly but everything after has been like pulling teeth. 3 weeks with no hot water, no washer, no dryer, no use of the front of our house but guess what? Rents still due in full. These people are useless
All the folks I've dealt with at Harris McHaney Property Management are great! Friendly, proficient, and quick to respond to questions or requests.
BE CAREFUL. DON’T PAY THEM BEFORE READING THE CONTRACT, AND MAKING SURE THE PROPERTY IS READY. They don't deserve even 1 star! I am very disappointed with the way this management handled my application. I applied for one of their properties and visited the home while the previous tenant was still there. The property was in very poor condition, but they told me it would be professionally cleaned after the tenant moved out. They accepted my application and asked for a $1200 security deposit.
