Shame on Harris County Public Health Department for the way it has treated Dr. Gokal. As a physician myself, I can't imagine a more noble attempt to salvage such a precious resource during a pandemic. Dr. Gokal went out of his way to make sure the vaccine was not wasted and provide it to appropriate patients. Criminalizing this action is despicable and after hearing Ed Anderson's comments, was clearly also driven by racism. Ed Anderson, Jennifer Kiger and Micheal Mc Clendon should be condemned for their roles in this, not Dr... read more

Better to vaccinate people than waste the Vial he is not selling the vaccine why would you prosecute a doctor for not wasting the vaccine. Doesn’t Good Samaritan law apply here maybe they were more Indian sounding names are they not citizens of this country. There were hospitals that wasted vaccine vials they should be reported.

Firing and criminalizing Dr. Gokal’s actions because he did not waste precious doses of vaccine is shameful. You all need to publicly apologize to this heroic doctor. The DA as well as HR head should be fired for defamation and baseless charges.

They would rather throw away doses of a needed vaccine then have them distributed. They fired a hero that administered them before they went bad. The administration at the Harris County Public Health should be drawn and quartered.
