Party of 8 for a B-day. They made room for us rather quickly. Great service, great food. They let us bring in our own cake and brought us desert plates to boot. Not the first time there and not the last for sure.
Had a great experience, the staff were right on point, I told them I was new to the area and they ran me through the ropes as to what the specials were,recommended a few plates and I landed on the Sure and Turf. I will be going back!!!
Awesome place. Great service! Sat at the bar for dinner...bar tender offered excellent suggestions on food. If you in town for work or just passing thru...you must stop!
Used to come here when it was in Hampton by the colosseum, but they moved. My usual hotel was booked so I stayed in Newport News, luckily only 2 miles from where they moved. Love the oysters and the local tap beer menu. Sat at the bar for lunch. Everyone was friendly. Highly recommended. May have to start staying in Newport News just for this place.
This was my first time visiting Harpoon Larry’s. What an incredible experience!! The food was amazing! Our server was phenomenal! There is not a thing I can say that was negative about our visit last evening. I can’t wait to visit Yorktown again, so that we can eat there again.
I have been to Harpoon Larry's several times and each time the food and service was great. If you haven't tried the fresh rita...please do. The best margarita I've ever had!!!!!
We came from Texas to work in Virginia and we met this nice lady and she told us about this place I'm very glad that she mention this place #HARPOONLARRYOYSTERBAR so we went and checked it out and sure was worth the drive there the shrimp oysters snow crab legs fish was awesome very good place if I ever come back I'm definitely coming to eat there again
Not as good as I had heard, will not go back, looked dirty, service was not good!
I was not happy when I left there. I know what I ordered but when it came and I said that's not what I ordered she said yes it is. But I ordered the fried FLOUNDER DINNER and was told we only have Haddock and it was so SMALL the hamburger bun was so big. ...long time before I go back
