Dr. Rekate saved my newborn baby, 24 YEARS ago! She would not be here today without him. I’ll never forget what he did for our daughter Alexis.
After years of suffering debilitating headaches and losing much of my muscle strength, Dr. Rekate saved me. I spent five years looking for help, any help, just to be able to function. Every surgeon I went to said I was in too bad of shape for surgery or they didn't think surgery would help. After making "no promises", Dr. Rekate took me as a patient and within hours of surgery I was walking, talking and had no headaches. My hero for sure.
Dr. Rekate operated on myself at 14 years old, removing a blood clot that caused a stroke. I am thankful everyday that he was my surgeon.

I give my highest respect to Dr.Harold Rekate, Neurosurgeon. I am 50 years old and have suffered with chronic migraines since a young child. I've had symptoms relating to brain function, aches, pains and other sensory processes. In my 40s I began having tremors, muscle atrophy, fatigue and widespread weakness. After years and many specialists, who refused to believe there may actually be a problem, Dr Rekate listened. He,his team, Dr S. Insigna, Dr "V", NP P. June and S.Martinez are my Godsends.
Dr. Rekate saved me. He is my hero. Only doctor that would help me after others damaged n left me to suffer. I will forever be grateful to this man for all he did to give back life to me and my family. We love him as family. Miss him now that he is on east coast.
Dr. Rekate saved my life. I was born with a rare form of spina bifida, tethered spinal cord, etc. I was his first ever surgery for this type of spina bifida 32 years ago! I finally went back to Barrow's Neurological today for a consult and wish he was still here in Arizona so that I could thank him in person for performing my surgery as a newborn. Dr. Rekate is the best. We saw 6 or 7 doctors in Texas before finding Dr Rekate. He found what was wrong with my son after other doctors could not. He is different because you can tell he has compassion. He truly cares. He is unique!
