I took my eight month old grandson who was throwing up and coughing they wouldn’t even take him back To de the docters the nurses just sat there watching him throw up and crying in. Pain but took another baby back that seem ok

RecommendedThe admissions desk was a little slow, but icu was waiting and ready. They were very fast at what they are trained in. Wow is all I can say. Ever department was trained well in what they done. Very friendly atmosphere for a sick person that’s for sure. Really good doctor’s and nurses. I took my boyfriend (who has commercial insurance) there following a fall, they did not take an xray or any type of scan. He was so bad that I had to call an ambulance to take him. ARH staff gave him an iv pain medicine and steroids, asked what his pain level was which was an 8, the nurse shoved him in my car screaming in pain and said, "have a nice evening". I took him to another hospital where he did get cared for, he had back surgery.
Uneducated staff Archaic policies No effort to accommodate patients General attitude of “that’s how we’ve always done it” whether that be right, wrong, or even dangerous.
RecommendedThe better of the hospitals here in Beckley.
Always takes forever in the Emergency Room. They don’t know what they are doing. I prefer Pikeville Medical Center 10-1.
