After many years of care here for my aunt S.C., I leave for the last time feeling incredibly grateful. To the 4th floor nursing staff, CNAs, doctors, food service, office, and front desk staff—thank you. At 101½ years old, my aunt, who suffered from dementia, was not always the easiest patient. While often sweet and quick to say “gracias, señorita,” she also had a sharp side and spoke with no filter. Yet through it all, this nursing home cared for her like family.
