A doctor who is very encouraging and caring.
Dr Kalla, has been treating me for years. He is a wonderful Dr, I highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a Dr in his field. He takes his time and listens well. Doesn't rush you in and out like some I've been too!
Dr. Kalla was very patient and transparent in his evaluation of my neuroendocrine cancer. His explanation that since this is a rare type cancer that it was outside his expertise. His recommendation that I go to MD Anderson in Houston for evaluation was appreciated.
The staff was so helpful. Everyone, including Dr. Kalla, was respectful of my time, and my visits were always on time and handled in a punctual manner, while at the same time, Dr. Kalla answered all my questions.
Dr. Kalla has been my oncologist for almost seven years. He makes sure that I understand every treatment decision and carefully monitors my response to all of my cancer treatments. He coordinates care with the rest of my treatment team, including my specialist in Dallas and has seen me through two autologous stem cell transplants that were done by my oncologist in Dallas. Dr. Kalla is conscientious and concerned; knowledgeable and up to date on the latest procedures and techniques; willing to take his time to thoroughly explain all situations and possibilities in his treatment of your condition.
Dr. Kalla took the time to explain my lab results. I felt comfortable with his knowledge and trusted his suggestions and information.
He talks to you as a person not a patient and explains t,o you what is going on health wise
