Just recently purchased a new house, only been here a couple weeks and all the trim is coming apart. No caulking done by the painters and every joint on casing, crown molding and baseboard are separating at the seams and lifting. We had drainage issues and a driveway that caused our cars to high center, the project manager ripped off part of the wood framing at the driveway and then left without finishing. Good people! We've worked with them for many years and they genuinely care about the work that they do.
Buyer Beware! Prices subject to change at any time before contract signing ... which is a suspiciously long process. 25 business days later, Hardeman Communities agreed to their own contract with a $15k price increase.
I'm only giving them 1 star because I can't give them zero stars. Do not use or buy a house from this builder as they will not do what they tell you to your face or put in the sales contract that they will do. They will wait until just before closing and tell you that they will not fix certain to do items in the contract/punch lists. They will also tell you items are completed and they clearly are not. Mike, the builder seemed like a genuinely nice guy, in the time leading up to closing. Every issue was “no problem”! The sheet rock was supposed to be gone over for visible issues from 6 feet away - his guideline. They were supposed to fix it PRIOR to closing when we meet 2 days before. The work schedule kept us busy prior too and we weren’t able to go back and verify it had been done. After closing and upon move in it was evident it hadn’t been done.
