Great place to take the family for quick meal... We were very glad to see a Hard Times in Frederick as we used to frequent the place in Columbia where we lived previously. The menu is simple, yet leaves options for everyone. The kids meals are a great bargain. We always take the kids with us and ask for a sampler. Excellent chili; free pool with $8 in food (11-5); good place for fundraisers. Hard Times Cafe & Cue has the best chili in town, one of which is vegetarian. Their pool tables are decent -- 8 or 9 footers available. If you buy $8 worth of food (7 days a week, between 11 and 5), you can play pool for free. They have a widescreen tv in the front. love the food – Last time I was there, had hamburger sliders with chili toppings. Fist time and they were yummy. I love their fries. I think I have eaten more fish sandwiches than anything else. Second to that is their salads, mostly with the salmon fillet. Great fried pickles. This is also a pool hall. Almost forgot, great wings.
