It's been about two decades since I've been back to Hard Times. It seems nothing has changed except that they opened up the kitchen so that it's fully exposed now. And they put a bar in front of it. The whole place has a locals only feel to it with a bit of a greasy patina. I had the bacon burger and it was very good. The onion ring had to be moved to the side of the plate though. Hard Times is always a go to for me and my family. The food is excellent, the wait staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the prices are very reasonable. The decor brings back a nostalgic feeling, it's just a great place.
The food was pure Hard Times, delicious and filling. Our server was on top of everything, kept the drinks full, and the food came out hot. My friends and I used to go to the one in College Park, when we worked in the area. Still the same, still a very enjoyable place to have a meal.
