SOOO good as long as you don't get food poisoning – I live very close to Hara, and my boyfriend and I get it all the time. The prices are great and the rolls are delicious. When you order takeout they give you free edamame and miso soup for each person, and if you eat there you usually get edamame, miso AND green tea ice cream for free. Their happy hour is insanely long, something like 3:30 to 9:30. I've never had a problem with service, at dinnertime it takes a little while to get seated because it's so popular, but so what... read more

Horrible Service – We made reservations for 4 at 8 PM. We got there at 7:50 PM and did not get seated until 9:45 PM. We waited almost 2 hours for just okay sushi! The host was not helpful when we checked on our table and I will not be coming back.

Great Sushi! Great Service! – I love Hara Sushi! They are always friendly and have great sushi for the price. Plus, they include free edamame, miso soup, and green tea ice cream! The place is always packed and is especially fun when you go during happy hour. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves sushi and a good time!

They need help. – As previously stated, the service is terrible. Some of their staff are unprofessional and unable to communicate. They aren't attentive and on a busy night will basically ignore you until you make a scene of flagging down whoever you can get. Worse than the service, in my opinion, is the food. It's just not quality fish, not fresh. I am pretty sure some of these reviews touting the fresh fish are planted by employees or owners. I live really close by and was sooo excited that a sushi restaurant was opening a... read more

My new favorite place!!!! – This place is the best!!! The sushi is sooo fresh and delicious. The prices are unbelievable and the rolls are really big. A huge specialty roll is only around seven dollars! Free miso soup and edamame too. It's great to know a place that has happy hour prices on drinks at 9pm before you go out. The parking in the back was free and very easy. I will probably be back here way too often!

AMAZING!! – This place is amazing. The sushi is super cheap (the cheapest that I have found in LA) and tastes amazing. Also, the rolls are HUGE!!! On top of that, the service was great. I highly recommend eating here!!! It has replaced all of my other sushi restaurants hands down.

They know how to "roll" – Of all the sushi restaurants in this area, I have to say, this place is my favorite! Fresh sushi is hard to find, but you'll be satisfied here. Seared ahi tuna and the spider roll are a must have. Although the decor is not a 5 star restaurant, the ambiance gives off a homey touch with dishware that don't mesh. Overall, the best part is the price you pay for good sushi! My boyfriend and I never fail to spend more than $30 every time we go!

No Brainer.. This place is amazing! – Ok.. So this place is not the most service oriented. Nor is it the most astetically pleasing restaurant to visit for sushi... IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PRETENTIOUS ENVIRONMENT TO EAT YOUR RAW FISH... GO ELSEWHERE, Move to Hollywood while your at it, date people in a much younger age demographic, oh yeah.. and go hang out at Nobu. This place is for people who enjoy Sushi, the sushi is GOOD. the Fish is fresh, i mean... we are in LA. This place also serves up hot sake for a great price. Thi... read more

Excellent deal – The Sushi is really decent! Add in the low price and almost-always-on "happy hour" and included free green tea ice cream and miso soup, and youv'e got yourself a deal! Sometimes, service is frustratingly slow and they are undermanned. But if you go on a not-so-busy weeknight, it's a great deal!
