Expected More for the price The service was excellent, the waiter was very informed and explained each dish with great detail. The appetizers were outstanding, (crab cocktail and a caramelized onion tart) I ordered a Kansas City steak cooked medium, it came cooked rare, my wife had the filet mignon cooked medium well and it was excellent, the veggies, Brussels sprouts and summer squash were undercooked to the extent that they were inedible. Expensive Doesn't mean good! We went to the Chophouse on 4/25/09 for a special occasion. Fabulous Meal This was our first visit. We had heard about the Hanover Street Chophouse from the radio. What a beautiful restaurant. The food and service were fabulous. What a great selection of wines too. We're looking forward to our next dinner at the Chophouse.
Hanover Street Chophouse is just ok I'm a tripadvisor fan, so I brought my husband to this place for his birthday based on the positive reviews on this website. This is a nice but expensive restaurant, especially considering the location. Our meal was close to $200 ($170 to be exact) for two people with wine, appetizers, and tip. Fabulous Steak I was pleasantly surprized with this menu. It was wonderful. The atmosphere, food, and service was impecable. From the momment I walked in I was treated very well. I highly recommend to ask the waitress for the daily specials. This place is very expensive so if your no a budget I would go for lunch. Their lunch menu is also impressive. Good, pricey, nice atmosphere I went here recently with a business colleague and it was quite good. We didn't have a reservation so we were asked to sit at the bar by the (stereotypical) host. We didn't wait long, though, and we got a table even though it was a busy night. The waitress was friendly and the food came rather quickly. Never Again We arrived at our reservation time of 7:30 pm, for my husband's birthday dinner. Our first time there.
