RecommendedAbsolutely outstanding shrimp - peel and eat, fried, and broiled. Perfect calamari. Scallops that melt in your mouth. Great grouper. Will be back!

I've lived in Charleston for 9 years and yesterday was my first trip to Hank's. We had a lovely dinner in an amazing setting. Definitely the best shrimp and grits I've had and their she crab soup was also amazing. Sure, it's not cheap, but it is fairly priced for the experience and quality of food. Our server, Ben, was attentive without being irritating and was helpful with decision making. We will definitely return.

The service was fantastic. I had the she crab soup...lots of crab...but it was very salty. I also had the grouper which was amazing- perfectly cooked (and I am a bit of a fish snob...lol) it was served over "risotto" which was not the real deal, but it was cooked well. The tables are VERY CLOSE TOGETHER, so if you are looking for a romantic/intimate atmosphere, this is not the place. All and all, I was satisfied, but not blown away
We were fortunate to find Hank's open because of the evacuation for Hurricane Matthew. And we were glad it was! We loved our meals, our waitress, and the ambiance. A very enjoyable evening. I highly recommend Hank's.
Great restaurant. Service was excellent. Ann had the fried shrimp...was served 18 shrimp and they were the best we've ever tasted! I had the shrimp & grits...it was ok, not the best I ever had...did not like the tomato-based roux. Overall an excellent experience!
