Cheap, tasty sushi (& teriyaki)! – This funky little joint on Broadway has small tables and a veritable wallpapering of event posters, nothing too fancy. Pretty good spot for people watching, too, since you can see out onto Broadway. Their rolls arent very big, but theyre cheap and tasty: I love their spicy tuna roll with its finely diced tuna and smelt roe. I know it sounds lame, but they also have the best chicken teriyaki I've had (and Im from Hawaii, the unofficial teriyaki capital of the world). Ask for it prepared skin... read more

SOOO GOOD – I thought the atmosphere was great for the area we were in. The food was excellent and devine. The waitress were very nice and cute. Had tons of fun with friends. Great place to go for a great meal or just a snack.

Not the best – As someone who has grown up with Japanese food, I have to say that the dishes here are very average if not slightly below. The taste of their food (sushi and noodle soups) aren't delicate or refined, but they're not bad. The ambiance is good (cozy atmosphere) and the service is fine, but if you're in the mood for stellar sushi, there are better places to go in Seattle.

absolutely the best in town – You will not find fresher sushi anywhere in seattle. Because Hana is so busy, the fish is always fresh. Sashimi plates are also second to none. If you have a chance, try the monkfish liver... truly sublime, and available only one night a week. I have had guests from NYC and San Francisco tell me that Hana is better than anyplace in those cities.

Pricey for what it is – Good place for a group of friends stopping for a quick bite to eat. Nothing you cant find anywhere else and its a little on the pricey side of the small array of sushi they have. None the less, its sushi, and in a great location close to many different areas.

Why God, Why? – This is, quite simply, the worst sushi I have ever eaten in my life. How, I would like to know, is it possible to make a simple cucumber roll taste bad? I'm not sure how they did it, but they did. There's a reason it's so cheap.

RAW VALUE – Good, consistent quality and value. Not a shi-shi seen and be seen place. It's like the Japanese version of a greasy spoon, but with raw fish and polite servers. Recently upgraded interior with new tables, chair, and a coat of paint. Also a lot of new staff... our server most recently was great! I can't recommend it enough if you don't need to have an aesthetically pleasing environment while eating your raw fish. I don't eat anything put seafood at this restaurant, so my rating will only apply to that.

raw fish – Hana offers a wonderful variety of high quality, yet low priced sushi. The best around on the hill.
