Good Food, Good Value, Good Service. – I enjoyed lunch here today. I ordered the tonkatsu curry don and it was delicious. There was little or no msg. I also enjoyed the age-dashi tofu appetizer and it was perfectly light and the daikon was fresh. The ocha is correctly blended. I am Japanese and I wonder why all the previous reviews were so negative.

not so much – I'm obliged submit a review with at least 100 characters. But I need just 39: Inconsistent sushi. Really bad service.

The basics – Ha Na's sushi is cheap, some of the cheapest around. Most of the time you have to sacrifice quality for price and ha na is no exception. However, even though it's not the best sushi it is not bad. On a food scale I'd give it a 7. but on a price scale a 10. not a bad compromise. The service can be slow and the place can be drafty but overall I would recommend it to those on a budget who like sushi. the Unagi it's half bad.

To bad convenience rewards itself with bad service and "OK" Sushi... – Ha Na's under staffed, mediocre location serves as the last place I'd recommend for Sushi in Capital Hill. There's no manager there so employees may run the place any way they choose - good or bad, depending on their mood I suspect. Don't even try to complain or get the message to the owners, because the person at the phone will argue with you about whether it was rude for them to hang up on you.

Crowds can be deceiving! – I live near this restaurant, and it's packed every time I pass by. So, I expected it to have good food. I am Japanese, and this place is NOT authentic at all. I ordered "tempura zarusoba," but that was completely disappointing. I will never go back.

Great sushi – Good food at a great price. The restaurant lacks ambience and service but the sushi is great and so is the seaweed salad. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the food but if you are looking for a romantic getaway or an authentic Japanese sushi restaurant, this is not the place.

Great Food, Busy Crowd – This place reminds me of the crowds and noise of traditional Japanese sushi bars. The food is very nicely done, especially the sushi, though the rolls tend to be a bit Americanized with mayo in the tempura and spider rolls, ick! The tempura is out of this world, and I'm not even a big tempura fan. The udon was savory and delicious, but you have to bring your own container if you want take-out. The Bento box was huge with a variety of foods and cheap at $5.25. The service can be a tad slow because the... read more

Affordable Japanese Food – When we first moved to Seattle we were hungry for sushi and just happened to walk by this place and decided to give it a try. What a lucky accident it was! The food was good and the prices amazing! We had udon, agedashi and a variety of sushi. While not the best Japanese food I've ever had, for a casual cheap sort of place it was pretty dang good. The udon broth was excellent. The agedashi was quite good and is a dish easily screwed up by restaurants (it's a warm lighly fried tofu). Last, but not l... read more

Great Sushi, Terrible Service – Hana's consistent with tasty fresh, sushi, and some of the worst service in Seattle. Let's start with my favorite part: the sushi: It's fresh, inexpensive, offers generous amounts and it's worth the wait. I'd say it's almost worth the horrible service, but it's better to just opt for take-out. The "Hana-Special" is out of this world good. With it's generous supply of 6 california rolls, 2 salmon, 2 tuna, and 2 tiger prawn, 2 eel, all for under $12.00. However, the service is bad. The servers (mo... read more
