I had a leaking backflow preventer that needed to be replaced. Hams Irrigation Service came out to replace the faulty part but encountered an issue unrelated to the repair. The City needed to replace my water on/off value, halting their work. Given the interruption, I suggested they return the following day but they resumed work once the City was done. I have used 4 different irrigation companies since moving to St Augustine and Hams is the only one that got to the root of my problem and properly fixed my zone. There expertise is worth the cost of hiring professionals. Highly recommend!
I’ve tried 2 other irrigation services and they did not get to the root cause of my issues. Ham’s did.. best service too.
I thought about giving them a 2 star because the men were very nice. BUT, to spend 45 minutes to move a sprinkler head 10 feet and replace/adjust a few heads cost me $316.57! There was a $90 service call (which most places forget when you hire & pay for the service), $32 in material, a $14 truck charge (what is that all about?!?!), and then $161.25 for labor - again, 45 minutes of labor!!!!!!! AND, $19.32 in tax. No, that price tag earned a 1 star! I thought I should hire a professional. But, in the future, I will go back to... read more
