Hamptons Gynecology and Obstetrics was founded in 1971 to provide high quality, efficient gynecological and obstetrical care to the women of the East End. At the present time, care is provided by nine doctors, three nurse practitioners and two midwives. We maintain four offices, Southampton, Riverhead, Hampton Bays and Center Moriches. Went there for a monthly appointment about my birth control. My friend came with me because she also had an appointment around the same time. As my friend was waiting for her doctor, the nurses/medical assistants acted very unprofessional. She overheard them laughing about a sample I gave them and was gossiping about how my results would turn out, which they were wrong about. Glad I switched to a different office.
I called this location after receiving a referral from my doctor. However, the person who answered the phone was unprofessional, which left a bad impression. As a result, I decided to seek care elsewhere.
Disappointed been going there for years, they had me waiting to do a procedure for 2 months saying that I needed a pre authorization, then they told me after 2 months that my insurance doesn’t cover it. When I call my insurance they told me they cover the procedure 100% no pre authorization need it. When I call them back to let them know they said that their pharmacy doesn’t cover the device, could they said that since the beginning instead of having me waiting for a pre authorization that was never need it. Dr. Schmitt performed surgery on me a yr and month ago and although it was a good surgery the healing took longer than what I was told. I was told that it takes 6 weeks and It took longer and when I explained to her my ins did not cover pelvic pt she looked at me as if no care. If I didn't do my own research with patience I wouldn't be able to walk. it would of been nice to hear a full explanation on what the body does after such a major surgery, especially it being my 1st. happy the growth came out disappointed in the lack ... read more
