Hotel gets a 5 star from me. The room was great, pool area clean and plenty of towels, and breakfast had a variety of warm foods and fruits etc. The staff was also great, especially the night shift desk staff who were incredibly patient with my kids who kept buying snacks from the front snack shop. I appreciate the staff making us feel welcome (some hotels give you an eye roll if you have more than 2 kids). Would def stay here again!
Apart from a few hairs found on the sheet, it was fine for a night in transit.
We will look for different places to stay in the future, this hotel is past its prime. The room we stay in smelled stuffy like old shoes, not fresh, even at set room temperature of 63F. In the morning there was no hot breakfast, the front desk sent us to the hotel next door, the LaQuinta, because they belong to the same franchise holder. When inquiring why there was no hot breakfast, we were told that the hot breakfast bar had to be closed for the past couple weeks because of Covid. This is a nice hotel for a great price, and I was very pleased with my stay. The hotel is located conveniently off the highway and is easy to get to, but it isn't so close to the highway that you're hearing constant traffic. There is plenty of self-parking available at no extra cost right on the premises, and you do not need to register your vehicle when checking in, which is an added convenience. We stayed here last year and enjoyed it. We have family in the area and planned on using this hotel several times a year. However, we will NOT be returning. This time we stayed in the winter. Our room is so freaking hot & stuffy. The windows do not open. The thermostat only gives the option of “fan” and not cool. They have the control panel blocked so that you do not have the ability to change that setting. You can turn the temperature all the way down on the wall unit and it doesn’t do a thing.
