No one ever focuses on the gym/fitness centre. So I will. I'm an amateur athlete, trying to keep my weight lifting training on schedule. This gym had enough to get by, good enough for what I needed. Room wasn't ready until 5:30pm (check-in starts at 3pm) no compensation offered. Yes it was reserved in advance. Not fun after a long drive to get there. Go to the $store and buy a soap lift/saver- annoying to have soap stuck to the soap dish, had to keep it a bit of water in the dish and deal with the gummy mess. Maybe it was just our room, wuth having the extra 2 & half hours to clean it before letting us in- no excuse that they forgot. Everything seemed good until I went to have a shower and found so much black hair on the tiles. They didn’t even try to wipe the shower down between guests…. Clearly.
Just stayed the 1 night it's close to the trans Canada highway 17 the only draw back I found yes you have two restaurants close by but one is on the other side of a 4 lane road that is busy. I don't mind walking on roads but do prefer to face the traffic when walking on busy roads. The room itself was very comfortable only issue I had was mosquitos in the room I did advise reception and speak with the manager as it's not much fun sleeping with mosquitos.
