The hotel is conveniently located just a short ride from downtown, and it was one of the few hotels available at the time. The staff was friendly, and I want to commend them for their service. However, we were very disappointed with the rooms. They had mildew/mold and felt damp, which created an unpleasant odor overall. The hotel is undergoing a much needed renovation. Although this is happening, they keep it clean and every member of the staff was very kind and welcoming. Everything you expect when staying at a Hampton.
Very kind & helpful staff who accommodated early check-in, but the hotel needs some help. It was dirty to the point I didn’t want to walk barefoot in my room because there was a layer of film on the carpet that was making my feet sticky. Lots of deferred maintenance - shower wouldn’t drain, missing tile in the bathroom, signs knocked off the walls, elevator not working quite right, exterior door not locking, etc.
