This is one of my favorite hotels to stay in when I travel to San Diego area for work or play. Centrally located. Close to Torrey pine state Beach and Del Mar.

It is absolutely unethical that management at this location would not do the right thing for any customer, moreover a Hilton Diamond member. Upon making reservation and trying to checkin and due to internet outage in the area of this hotel, it became impossible for the hotel to check guests into their rooms. Outage was throughout the entire day. So much that at even the 4pm checkin time rooms still not accessible. The management would NOT cancel reservations so guests, myself included to go elsewhere. Nice place. Just don’t get the room we got. The front desk was 5’ from our door. The attendant could see inside our room when we opened the door. Very awkward. We asked to change but even with a reservation they couldn’t accommodate us. I believe the room number was 101.

Rooms are nice, though a bit spartan compared to Hampton of years past. The breakfast was quite good. Service was quite good. Using the Hilton app for room entry didn't work... Again. There is a charge for parking. Why separate? They want you to pay for "premium Internet" above the free version. These extra charge things are a drag on an otherwise fine location.
