Just an honest review, it wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, but there were many negatives. First, I unknowingly booked a smoking room (didn’t think those even existed anymore). I checked into the room and the fowl smell overcame me, I couldn’t stay in there for more than a minute. Thankfully, the very friendly front desk agent switched me to a non smoking room immediately. As a military traveler, I expected a smoother stay at the Hampton Inn on Coliseum Road. The atmosphere at the front felt more like coworkers sorting out personal issues than a team welcoming guests, which gave off an unprofessional vibe. The room wasn’t as clean as it should have been, and breakfast could use more variety. On the positive side, the location is convenient and check-in was polite once things settled. Overall though, this stay didn’t live up to the Hampton standard.

The staff was friendly and helpful, but the facility is in need of a refresh. My first impression as I walked down the corridor to my room was the carpet was very worn, with a few spots that were obviously cleaned but permanently stained. The door to my room also had a few mars, and trying to open the door revealed it was a bit off kilter, catching on the frame.
