I do not work for this place, but I am an ASE Master Tech with 15 years experience. Timing belts that are done right are about $750-$900. This includes water pump, timing belt, timing belt components, and filling the cooling system. I have used Hammer's on numerous occasions and his pricing is very reasonable, if anything his timing belt price was too low. If you are getting it done for 200 I would worry about the quality of the work AND the parts. When cheap parts fail its going to cost you $2000 or more.
I highly reccomend NOT going to Hammer's Automotive. The prices are outrageous! I got a timing belt and water pump quoted at 747 dollars, i then did some research and got it done for 200. He buys parts that are outrageously priced and doesn't do thorough work at all.
I was a stranded motorist miles from home when I knew something was wrong with my car. I am so thankful to have stumbled into Hammer's! The whole crew was so nice to the sobbing, hot mess that I turned into. They got straight to the problem, were looking for parts right away, they gave me options on how to fix my vehicle, didn't try to feed me any bullsh**, and saved me $250 in parts with intelligent thinking and great mechanical skills.
