Server tried to convince us that Asian catfish being served was "farm raised, locally". No option to upgrade to a real local fish. Swamp Bites appetizer was like rubber.Gumbo dip appetizer tasted sour. The shrimp tacos were edible, but again shrimp were frozen and I can pretty much guarantee not local. So we ask about the oysters - they're from St Louis. even though the sign hanging on the wall says Apalachicola oysters. While on vacation, we decided good seafood is a MUST! We were driving around town and passed by Hammerhead Fred’s, thought we’d give it a try. So glad we did! My husband ordered an Oyster sampler, and it was AMAZING! My daughter and I had popcorn shrimp baskets. Everything was very fresh. I’m usually not a coleslaw fan, but it’s pretty good too! If in Panama City Beach, it’s a definite place you need to go to.
