Recommendedjust finished my first 70.3 triathlon. I used Hammer Gels, Heed, and Perpetuem during the race and in my training prior. I had a flask of gel, two bottles of Perpetuem, and a bottle of Heed for the bike. I took some single serve gels and a small bottle of Perpetuem on the run. High quality, and well researched. Simply the best!
I used Hammer energy gels and Heed when I hiked and climbed in the Palisades in California. I had plenty of energy and was kept well hydrated. The Heed tastes great and doesn't make me all jittery. Most recently I completed my first Spartan Race in NY. I added Heed to my camelbak knowing that the course was constant hills and there were only 4 hydration stations. The day was hot and the hills steep. Heed really helped in keeping me on my game. I ended up finishing well before my self imposed goal. Thanks Hammer Nutrition!
I got a free sample of the hazelnut chocolate gel at the Heartland Triathlon. I had pretty much given up hope on gels working for me as I did not care for the taste or the consistency. Heed is my go to sports drink for all my training and racing hydration needs. During long training rides I down a Hammer Gel the first 30 minutes, followed by a Hammer Bar 30 minutes after that, alternating between gels and bars every 30 minutes. On hot humid Michigan days or training rides lasting over 3 hours I use Endurolytes to keep the cramp monsters away. For daily maintenance I use Tissue Rejuvenator, Mito Caps and Premium Insurance Caps. Great products!
