We lived in Auburn ten years ago and loved Hamilton’s. But since we came back we had two bad experiences, one at each location. Same problem both times, the kitchen ignored my husband’s request to accommodate his food allergies by not putting extra salt or pepper on his food. His allergy is mild enough he can handle pepper in a marinade or amount you would put on before cooking just don’t add any extra at the end. But his food came out covered in pepper at HonM. The kitchen staff needs to listen to patrons when dietary needs & concerns are expressed. Not once but twice tonight, my meal had to be redone. Thankfully our waitress caught the first before it hit the table, known because of the extreme delay between my wife’s plate & mine coming to the table. Even then it still wasn’t right. If the kitchen staff could not get something as simple as “no black pepper” right, then I fear for them not listening to serious concerns as to food allergies.
