I live up the street from this place and had only ever gone to AutoZone. Today, our battery died in our car. We normally go to AutoZone, but when we went, they didn’t have the battery we needed. They said Hamilton’s across the street might have it, so we came to Hamilton’s. The exact same battery was HALF THE COST it would have been at AutoZone, PLUS they installed it for us. Wanted to drop off an alternator to be rebuilt earlier today and also wanted to ask if possible to put a less than one year old battery on a trickle charger while my alternator was being rebuilt. Bottom line is that the gentleman with “55 years of experience” load tested a discharged group 51 battery using a battery load tester similar to a FJC 45118 (1000A Max load) and cranked the adjustment all the way up to the capacity of the tool (any discharged battery is going to falsely fail that test) AFTER I mentioned to him that ... read more
