I threw my hubby a surprise birthday party in the banquet room and it was Wonderful! Hostess, Waitresses, and Management were all super! The Food of course was Amazing!
The seafood sampler was very good,the rest of the party got different types of fish dishes all good.And the service was as good as it gets!
Lou and the other oyster bar guys KILL it! Definitely a recommendation for awesome food and great service!
My wife and I ate here last week. We both ordered the fried oyster dinner. Bad mistake. The green salad was good. The fried oysters were tasteless and some so tough that you could not chew or swallow. I suspect they may have been frozen???. The cajun fries side dish was fair but setting in oil. The meal with a g&t for my wife cost about $60. A total waste of money!! Needless to say, we will never return to this place.
Great experience today. They guy shucking the oysters remembered us from our last visit & what we ordered. He has only been shucking there 3 days and he did awesome. And ALWAYS remember y'all TIP your shucker!! They are there for hours doing this for our pleasure. So many in the hospitality business get taken for granted. We need to always pay it forward some how daily.
I usually go to Half Shell on Saturday or Sunday, and the food is usually excellent. Friends took me Friday night and the wait was 45 minutes. My appetizer and salad were good, but the fish on the Red fish Orleans dish was so dry and stiff I could only eat the shrimps. This use to be my number one place in Mobile. It moved down quickly last night.
