5 stars. Zero negatives. Atmosphere, service, oysters, burgers all excellent. Definitely recommend a visit.
The H.S.O.H. came highly recommended by our hotel front desk clerk across the freeway. My wife and I ordered the dozen oysters on the half shell which came promptly and were chilled and fresh. I ordered the grilled seafood sampler while my wife had the Shrimp Orleans. The food was very good and our server was a blast. I hate that I can't remember her name, but she was a lot of fun. Overall, everyone in our party left happy and content. We would definitely come back on our next visit to Alabama.
This is my favorite restaurant in Biloxi, I love their lobster bisque and the crab cakes with green fried tomatoes and aioli sauce, next time I'm trying the shrimp and grits, I can't wait to come back down in spring, just left there last week and had a relaxing time, love it, love it, love it.
Went by myself and sat at the bar and was promptly waited on and served, had a cup of the seafood gumbo and the oyster sampler, everything was first class!
my wife and I dined at the Half Shell Sunday afternoon. The food was very good. We had the Royal Reds, the seafood pot pie, fried shrimp, the sweet potato crème brulee, cheese grits. Our server was Stephen and he was very helpful and answered our menu questions. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Gulfport.

Wait staff were great and management also stopped by and checked to see about our meal and it was great we had the filet and lobster which were both cooked perfectly as ordered, everything was great.
The food was so delicious! We had a lovely and friendly waitress. I definitely recommend it!
It's hard for me to see anything less than 5 stars as a rating here. I've eaten here for many years and the staff is excellent and so is the owner. On a more serious note, I have 4 picky sons who love HS! There is truly something for everyone!! As far as the staff being rude which was mentioned, I have made several friends with them outside of the restaurant. My advice is to try this restaurant and make your own opinion. 3/4 of the coastal restaurants couldn't hold a flame next to this establishment.
