Knowledgeable, kind, and patient
Very thankful for Dr. Naik and all she does for the HS community ☺️
She had the worst bedside manner I've ever experienced w/any doctor. All the prestigious degrees in the world doesn't help if you've got zero patient empathy.
Haley Naik has said in not so many words that she does not really know how to treat HS yet she is a "specialist". She told me she only prescribes medicine that a regular dermatologist would (like doxy or humira) and can't do anything else. Her primary goal seems to be getting you to be her lab rat so that she can tell people she's helping people with Hidradenitis by furthering research. Dr. Naik told me during our appt that I probably know more about Hidradenitis Suppurativa than she does. I did not find that reassuring. She then told me hers was just a "consult clinic" and she can't actually do anything for me but refer me to others and prescribe medication. I waited 4 months for an appointment with her - referred by a regular dermatologist at UCSF, so it was annoying to find out she doesn't do anything more than a regular derm.
