Signed a contract for a custody fight. They dragged their feet and did no follow up for four months which allowed my ex to do exactly what I'd hired them to stop her from doing. Ended up settling out of court with her attorney doing most of the work. They still made me pay the contract amount even though they hadn't kept up their end. Kept blaming the system, the court, etc. Couldn't have cared less about my case. I would avoid and find an attorney that cares more about you than the money. (probably impossible)
