Another amazing blowout by Halcyon! I’ve been a loyal client at Halcyon Salon for years, and the team consistently shows the hell UP. I grew up BIPOC in predominantly white communities (such as Pittsburgh) & my experiences with hair care weren’t always positive. I love Halcyon! I’ve worked with Katie and several others on the team for years and always leave happy. Hands down my favorite salon ever and I’m a customer for life.
Truthfully held off on writing this review until I found out that other people seemed to feel the same way that I do. They won’t find me in their records because I would rather not have bias influence a review just because I’ve been a client, and I want my anonymity respected. Halcyon prides itself on inclusivity and a safe space which I think is amazing, but what really rubbed me the wrong way is that there are no poc stylists. Have gone here a couple times and have had a fantastic experience both times! They are so good at making the experience comfortable and inviting for all. Truly kind and lovely people who are so good at what they do
Halcyon is the best! They are so welcoming, inclusive, and accommodating. Halcyon is the first salon I ever felt comfortable at and all of the staff take the opportunity to get to know you. They work really hard to be environmentally friendly, accountable, and a safe space for all. I always recommend Halcyon to those in PGH!
