Dr Usal is a bad doctor.. do yourself a favor and do not go to this person..especially if you have a life threatening disease. Very arrogant.
The appointment went well. Dr Usal fit me in on a day that he is scheduled to be in the hospital. He closed my wound after a very difficult Mohs procedure. The nursing assistants were very kind as well as the office manager. I am very grateful.
Dr Usal is very knowledgeable, caring & compassionate. I was referred to him after a bilateral mastectomy. He is straight forward on his instructions & outcomes. Mariann his nurse is also very good & compassionate. Thank you for all you do!
Dr Usal saved my life. I was so depressed, having a lot of extra skin that was making me a size xl in shirts and a 12 in super stretchy pants. After my 7lb 1oz skin removal, I am wearing sleek medium dresses, shirts and a size 8 in pants. I have always been heavy and finally lost 50lbs and kept it off for 2 years. Usal was the surgeon called in to Valley Hospital when I brought my 1.5 year old end for some emergency stitches. It happened to be superbowl sunday, and he was extremely rude and when we inquired about the procedure, told us that his work would cost us "a lot of money." When we wanted to make some calls to insurance to figure it out, he told us we had 10 mins to decide before he left for the night. Dr. Usal performed my DIEP flap reconstruction in conjunction with a mastectomy of one breast by another surgeon. Throughout the whole process, he and his entire staff and team made my situation easier by explaining my options and the surgery I chose in detail; including pros, cons and a giving me a realistic view of possible outcomes. This guy is the perfect example of why the US health care system is SO rotten. I had to get stitches on my forehead after a fall at night that required a plastic surgeon on call at the hospital. For just 10 mins of work he charged me $18,000!!!! Really?!! What is wrong with people? At the end the insurance company paid most of it luckily but still ended up paying thousands of dollars out of my pocket. That is just greedy
I was referred to Dr. Usal by my plastic surgeon that placed breast implants in after a bilateral mastectomy. I was in severe pain so my doctor sent me to Dr. Usal. Dr. Usal recommended pain management and breast rehabilitation first but that didn't work so he preformed the Diep Flap surgery after taking out the implants. I do not have pain anymore. He is a confident, intelligent and kind man that shows compassion to his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Usal!!
