NIce place, excellent service – Went in for the first time last week for a new color. Yes, I'm a guy and I color my hair different colors on a regular basis. I've tried a few places in the last couple of years so I've seen all ends of the spectrum. I had Sarah do my color since she had a cancellation and was available when I went in. I went with blue/black this time. It can be a tough to get right as it's sooooo dark. But Sarah knocked it out really quick. Worst "Professional" Experience of my life – I like the location and the facility is great, but I was a little short on cash and had one of the less experienced gals do my color. BAD, BAD idea. I literally went in for highlights. That's it. Blonde, plain highlights. I'm not sure how you can screw that up if you've had any schooling, but I've been getting my hair colored for over 10 years and have never had it turn purple or green. Finally I found it... – Trust Sarah Pohl with your hair. I've been growing mine out for the past couple years and after several failed attempts to give my longs locks some shape (one experience even I could have done a better job, blindfolded) I booked at HCX. Saved my life! Well..my hair anyways.. – After I double bleached my hair and deciding I did not like it, I tried dying it back a darker color.The result? Cotton type GRAY hair. I freaked and called a bunch of salons in my area. This place actually answered the phone! I told Michelle B. my story and she told me to come in for a free consultation. I was there within 20 min. awesome place for great hair results – Michelle does my hair and she is awesome. She does a great job on whatever you want done and you leave feeling like you were family and looking great. She offers great suggestions and never makes you feel like she is hurrying. I always feel relaxed and in good spirits when I leave. If your looking for a new look ask for Michelle......
Flawless cuts – I love this place! I've been three times now, and Alison does my hair. Not only have I gotten a great cut every time (seriously, whatever picture I bring in, she makes it happen - so accurate it's scary) but they also fixed a major at home dye screw up a few months ago. This was despite me not having a hair color appointment. Everyone is pleasant and when I had the color disaster another stylist came in and helped figure out a solution. loved the cary location, so i tried this one also – recently got my hair cut and colored w/ angela at this salon's cary location. had a great experience, and was in need of a blow out and was closer to cameron village, so i went to this location. had another great experience. great receptionist - i think her name was emily? and i had the best blow out of my life with mark. whether you're in cary or raleigh, try this salon. both locations are amazing.
Great cut and color - – had great exp. here - wanted to try new place after bad dye job at another salon; Sara was able to not only fix the botched job done by the other salone, but was able to make me love my color and cut - not an easy fete. i am so picky when it comes to my hair - who isn't, right? i have definitely found a keeper in haircolorxperts and sara at cam village. the only down side was the parking - but i guess that just goes to show how in demand this salon is. great job!
overall - a wonderful experiance! – had a great experience with mark...was getting ready for my birthday party that evening, and wanted some thing fun and new. got an amazing cut, some hi-lites and the best blowout style i have ever had. great staff, all of them were fun and knowledgable. i loved the location also - right in the middle of cam village - an inside-the-beltline lover's dream! i recommend mark, go see him!
