I can't say enough great things about my experience with Mel. Two years ago, I went to a different salon and ended up with a color that was not what I had asked for- leaving me nervous to ever dye my hair again. But Mel took the time to do a thorough consultation where walked through what I liked, what I didn't like, and what I was hoping to achieve. She truly listened, and made me feel heard, and gave me exactly what I wanted. I couldn't be happier with how my color turned out. I highly recommend her!

Melanie has been cutting/coloring my hair for years and I was so happy to follow her to her new solo location because she is simply the best! She is a true artist—talented and meticulous. I am always stunned by her eye for blended highlights that add so much dimension to my hair. And every appointment is a such chill, easy experience. I love that I get to just plop down and let her do her thing… Just do yourself a favor and go to Hair with Reason!!

I've been going to Mel for 7+ years and continue coming to her salon even after moving into Manhattan. I have dark blonde/reddish hair but the blonde balayage she does over it is so good that I've gotten comments for YEARS that people thought it was natural. She has an incredible eye for doing color that is flattering to the person and is an extremely consistent hair artist - you will never walk out of the salon unhappy with Mel!
