In 1976, The Hair-Designers opened one of the first salons on the island, "The Vogue Stylon." In 1977, a second salon was opened in the Hyatt Hotel (now the Hilton Head Marriot Resort & Spa). In 1981, the two salons combined under the current name, "The Hair-Designers."
