Recommendedmy family and I have been going there for over 40 years when we lived in the city. It was my daughter's birthday and my husband had to drive someone into the City and made his way to Hagen's just for her and got a pound and a half of shrimp and a pound and a half of fish chips, kind of sad in that they didn't have any smoked chub in, but that's okay the rest of it was delicious and we were waiting with our mouths open when he arrived with the little brown bags. Keep up the good work. Highly recommend to anyone who likes fish

I like the smoked pepper and garlic salmon. Also I like the Noon Hour Imported Fillet of Herring in Cream Sauce. They have many choices of fish here. Many different fried selections also. I have never had anything bad from this place. I am also impressed by this place being run by the third generation of the Swedish founding family. The place is great
Best smoked fish in Chicagoland.
Been going here since the mid 60’s. Best fried shrimp around. Big variety of other fish. They will also smoke any fish you catch. They sold Great smoked chubs before Their numbers dwindled in Lake Michigan.
Best fish chips around. Before his passing, my dad would go every year for the 30 years at Christmas & get a whole tray of chips. Now I took over the duty for my family the past 6 years. Amazing food
We got our Thanksgiving turkey smoked at Hagen’s this year and everyone agreed it was the best turkey we’ve ever had. New tradition as of this year!
Great place for seafood to go. Great selection and affordable prices. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend that you please check this place out.
