Dr Hackley was the orthopedist on call at Mammoth Hospital about 16 years ago when I had a bad ski accident. I broke my left patellar tendon and shattered my right forearm. The arm was so broken that it required 10 screws to put back together. To this day I have full range of motion and have never had a single issue with that arm. I’m so grateful for his expertise and would recommend him to everybody.
Dr. Hackey saw me Christmas night after I badly fractured my Femur and preformed emergency surgery the following morning. He went way beyond, spending many hours in surgery to basically do two surgeries at once, feeling my advanced age might prohibit the second which was really needed. My hospital stay had it ups and downs as I did not do well with pain meds, etc., but he saw me continuously through my 18 day stay even though his part was going well. Horrible doctor. Don’t waste your time. As soon as he walked in he did not look at me directly and looked spaced and as I was telling him my knee situation I could tell he wasn’t listening. I stopped talking and he didn’t even noticed and just said okay let’s get X-rays. He said there was nothing wrong w my knees and that he could do exploratory surgery but why do that he said - I can basically give you a shot when “you want to go hiking.” Who said anything about hiking!! So I flew from the east coast to see this guy on good faith that he was a good surgeon. He basically said he didn't believe what my MRI said about me having a torn MCL PCL and torn meniscus. He said he trusted physical examinations to the MRI. He said he didn't believe I had a torn meniscus but he was willing to do what he called "exploratory surgery" which is a big red flag and I felt that meant he just wanted money.
