*****HORRIBLE SERVICE AND BUSINESS ETHICS***** Please take this warning and book with an actual high end salon. Do not waste your time or money by scheduling a day for yourself (aka a foil, haircut, and wax) unless you want to leave almost 7 hours later with a poor foil, no haircut or waxing, and dripping wet un-styled hair. Never Again – My hair looked terrible when i left the salon, my make up made me look like a teenage girl going to my prom. Not to mention they treated me worse when I asked them to curl my hair they said it would be more, and I said forget it. Then they when I didn't tip the stylist walked away without another word. This was very unprofessional in my opinion.
Shady Employees – I got a deal for this place on living social. I came in and the woman greeting me was pleasant and got me some tea and showed me around. I got my hair done and it looked great. The next part blows my mind. Thier "make-up guy" was ridiculous. The first thing he does is criticizes my skin and makes me feel a little self concious. It was almost rude! spa in the city – the products here are very good, organic and natural smells are much nicer to have around instead of the same old potpourri grandma had back in her house. I went just for an easy treatment to enjoy my vacation and felt very good about my choice of spa. I will for sure be visiting again soon.
Once a huge fan, but won't ever go back. – I hate to write such a negative review for an establishment that I've supported for years. I used to go to the salon in Fremont, and have bought numerous gift certificates from Ballard. Christmas '09 my sister and I bought a Living Social certificate for a Rainforest spa treatment in Ballard.
