Took my son for a visit due to her accepting vaccine opt. She seemed kind and I agreed with her opinions on vaccines and treatments . However she was a little rough for my liking with my son during his physical examination when it came to holding his face, arms for measurements etc. she pushed up on his feet while she was trying to get his length on the scale and caused my baby to slide up and hit his head on the window which made him cry harder. We came to Pia because we were concerned about our baby’s symptoms worsening and being what seemed to be RSV. Before we could even say what was wrong she questioned us on whether or not we were going to use her as our full time pediatrician, to which my husband and I both said if we see it is a good fit then yes we will. We love Dr. Pia! Their on call email is so helpful so you don’t always have to come in. We love that we are afforded the options and choices for our kids.
just read the feature on the NY Times. then i proceeded to google this person. she presents herself as a “Doctor,” however her doctorate is in Education and a MSN-masters in Nursing-aka APRN (advance practice registered nurse) her scope of practice is limited and training differentiates because an MD (medical doctor) has full authority and training/expertise in medicine. She may be a Dr in education but not a doctor in medicine. be aware
