The best!!! Where else can you get a cup of coffee and eat great french pastries all for under $5. Cafe DuMonde is a landmark if you go to New Orleans. The atmosphere is nice and easy and the waiters are great. I tried the world famous beniegs (sp?) and they were great! Just watch out, you might get a lot of powdered sugar on you! Great for people watching and relaxing.
Coffee Break If you want to go somewhere and get a good cup of coffee you can go here any time. The people are very nice here and it's a clean environment, you will love it
Wipe your mouth I remember this place being alot cooler when I was a kid. The food's still great but the service has somewhat dwindled. It takes alot longer to get service unless you go in the wee hours of the morning, and it's just not as clean as it used to be. I try and stick to the cafe du monde's in the malls unless the malls are closed.
Cafe Du Monde is a must see in New Orleans! Ahh, the beignets. Powdered sugar upon a puffed pastry in the sweltering summer heat must mean that you are at the Cafe du Monde. Famous for Beignets....... The beignets are french donuts. Cafe Du Monde is apart of New Orleans. The infamous have eaten here. The coffee is New Orleanian style coffee. Luckily they have a website so you can order the items that you may miss. Handicapped accessible.
beignets and coffee This place is famous for its square donuts (beignets) and its coffee! Open 24/7 and outdoors, you can always count on some fresh powdery goodness and a pick-me-up at all times. The beignets come hot, are hollow in the middle, and covered in powdered magic. Delicious!

I absolutely adore Cafe Du Monde and it is an essential spot that you must visit if you're new to New Orleans!
