Ally is Awesome – I went in with a head of incredibly boring hair that had been bothering me for some time. Without much of an idea of what I wanted, aside from "better" and "low maintenance", Ally came up with an amazing new style for me. She is top notch with short haircuts and fun color chunks. The new hairstyle fits me to a tee.
:( Sad day at Gypsy Rose – I had my first Gypsy Rose experience with Nicole after spending a long time googling for curly hair specialists in Portland. She's a nice gal, but spent more time prepping my hair for the cut then actually cutting (I didn't have a watch on, but suspect I was under the automatic-blow-dryer-thingy for at least half an hour, while Nicole was reading a magazine). Horrible hair cut - so so color. – I wanted to make a change from the stylist I had been going to for 7 years. I went to Gypsy Rose after hearing a co-worker say great things (I did not see her stylist). I had read some reviews called and physically checked out the place. TAMI really knows what she is doing!!! – Tami at Gypsy Rose is the greatest. She did a fantastic job on highlighting my hair. The coloring was perfect for my coloring. I wanted a new cut also and she cut it in a wonderful bob. Tami definitely knows what she is doing with hair. She is also very knowledgeable regarding products for the hair. Give her a call when you need a GREAT cut and color.
Best Facial with the best Attitudes! – Had a fabulous facial from Glynis Olson. Super friendly and way fun. Top notch treatment without all the pretentiousness. I am definitely going back! And would recommend anyone to try it out, you won't be disappointed.
tami rocks – tami saved my hair after i bleach it on my own. i came to her with orange hair that was clumping off. she gave me recommendations on how to get my hair back to a healthy condition and then got it to a beautiful blonde that i was very happy with. she is extremely talented and inspired and encouraged me to go into the hair industry. i hope to work side by side with her someday.
The Gypsy Rose rocks! – I have been a devoted client of this cozy establishment since it's inception. The atmosphere is very relaxing and unpretentious, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and capable. I love Morgan – Morgan Shanafelt is the best- sadly for us, she's only in Portland part of the time, but when she's in town she'll rock your hair like nobody's business at the Gypsy Rose. Beautiful cuts and color, a wonderful, friendly person- and the cozy, well-decorated atmosphere at the salon is unparalleled. Great neighborhood too!
